3 Ways CrossFit Is Going Green in the Port City

Happy Earth Day Wilmington CrossFitters!

Thousands of people around North Carolina will come together today to celebrate Earth Day — a commitment to taking care of our planet, and to fighting climate change. In anticipation of Earth Day, CrossFitters from all over the world have been looking for ways to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability. We also want you to have more ways to support the goals of Earth Day, and to share ideas on reducing your own environmental impact. Here are 3 ways CrossFit Coastal is going green:

  • We’ve decided to turn the lights off for 30 days at our new CrossFit Coastal facility on Gordon Road! (Google Map). Our large windows and rollup bay doors provide all the natural  sunlight we need for our oh so good pain filled workouts.
  • All proceeds from our public park workout fees will go towards purchasing 100% recycled paper and “Earth Friendly” Cleaning Products for use at our new fitness center.
  • Join us at Hugh McRae Park today at 11:00 am for a CrossFit workout. (Click Here for Event Details) Stay afterwards and enjoy the Earth Day festivities. For EVERY person that shows up today, CrossFit Coastal will plant 1 tree…seriously. (A single tree can absorb one ton (2,000 pounds) of carbon dioxide over its lifetime. One acre of tree cover in Brooklyn can compensate for automobile fuel use equivalent to driving a car between 7,200 and 8,700 miles.)

You’ve heard that to get anything in life worth having, you have to work for it.

What sets CrossFit Coastal apart is the small group setting led by your CrossFit Coach. We will lead you through a challenging workout that is guaranteed to get you results. You don’t have to come up with the plan to get yourself results; our “Workout of the Day” is new every time; and it’s designed to get you results in the shortest amount of time possible.

No more excuses. Rest Later.
