Dedication

Jen K. has been training with us at CrossFit Coastal since May. When she first started, she informed us that her major fitness goals were to be able to Deadlift her bodyweight and perform one pullup. (Different then your usual “I want to lose 20 lbs” fitness goal)

Yesterday, she Deadlifted 205 lbs and managed to obtain an advanced rating on the “CrossFit Total” – world ranking chart here, which is a very respectable achievement for any athlete.

How did she do it? Jen K. trains hard 3 on/1 off consistently; she also eats well. To thrive in a CrossFit environment, you must fuel your body with high quality food. Please read “Feeding the Machine” by Robb Wolf at http://robbwolf.com/?p=109.

Did we mention that Jen K. weighs in at a lean 130 lbs? Leave your fear that lifting weights will make you big and bulky at home ladies!

Let us tell you a story about Frank B. Frank is a recent graduate of our Foundations program and has been attending our group classes for a little over a month now (and is loving it).

Yesterday Frank Deadlifted 325 lbs. We’re sad to announce that we didn’t capture this amazing milestone on camera, but we did photograph him beforehand.
