FUNctional?! Yeah…maybe a little dysfunctional
What an attractive group of CrossFitters =). Thank you to everyone who came out to the Flashback to the 80ties 5k Race in Mayfaire. Whether you participated or came out to show support – the reason why our program is so successful is because of the remarkable community we have all put together.
We had 3 1st place winners in thier age group – Mike Miller, Ezekiel Martinez & Lidia Martinez. Nate Storm, Garrett Adams, Samantha Workman, & Stephanie Ford also placed top 3 in their age group. A special mention goes out to Greg Ford who placed 4th in the old man division, but we all know that doesn’t count. We love you Greg.
This picture speaks for itself. The two girls on the end were so much fun to meet – we are extending a personal invitation to come check us out for a week. Don’t worry if you’re new — we’re all very friendly and we’d love to meet you! Add us on Facebook and we’ll take it from there!
After the race, our athletes returned back to home base to support Jeff Cordle, one of our Laney High School students, in his fundraiser for his senior project. Jeff Cordle organized a CrossFit-esque event to raise money to support our local Wilmington Boys & Girl’s Club. The money raised is going towards buying gym equipment (hopefully barbells, bumpers, & rings). Thank you to everyone in our CrossFit Coastal family who came out.
Our CrossFit Coastal team warming up before the Flashback to the 80ties 5k Race in MayFaire – Wilmington, NC. We all had such a great time – thank you to Thera Storm & Lidia Martinez for setting up such a wonderful booth as well.
To end on a good note…here is a great article by our friend Jennie Forman over at CrossFit Fire. Tough Love comin at ya! CARBOHYDRATES WILL KEEP YOU FAT.
