Let’s Welcome – Amy & Gaby!

Amy & Gaby started CrossFit a week ago during our one week free trial …and loved it! Expect to see remarkable performances from these two ladies. Pictured above is Amy A. performing the workout “Nancy” with the advanced women’s weights (65 lbs) – her final time was 26:35. Oh yeah – this was Amy’s first day learning Overhead Squats.

Saturday Morning Class & Breakfast
Another rainy Saturday did not stop these dedicated athletes from coming in to CrossFit Coastal to refine their Squat and Deadlift technique.
Most of the members who came were our advanced members, which goes to show that – even if you have a sub 5:00 Fran or sub 9:00 Helen – you should always be striving towards excellence.
We could be wrong though – maybe they just came for pancakes!

We’re glad to have you ladies on board! Welcome to the family.
Thank you for the article Zeke. It’s always nice to find articles about Type One Diabetes outside of Diabetes Forecast and medical journals that are filled with jargon that I can’t understand. Although I doubt that my pancreas would jumpstart after not working for over 25 years it’s definitely something to consider with my diet. I will admit that I’ve adopted a lot of the Paleo diet but have been a bit hesitant to go all the way as I’m not entirely sure how my body will respond in terms of insulin intake and the potential low blood sugars. Feeling shaky and light-headed is not fun!
