One of the main reasons I joined crossfit is because I wanted to learn lifting techniques. I would go to the gym and watch guys lifting and really want to do it, but felt uncomfortable around weights. Before crossfit, I would run, run, run and always end up with injuries. I wanted to be more balanced and well-rounded in my fitness. Seeing pics of girls (just like me!) at crossfitcoastal.com made me feel comfortable trying it out.

The thing I most enjoy right now is that I am starting to be able to do more workouts as prescribed. Also, I love the people at crossfit. Such genuine, supportive, and goofy people. It feels like playing everyday; like gym class for big kids! I have fun every single day at the gym. How many people can say that?

It surprises me everytime I look at the WOD and think,”I can’t wait to go to the gym!” I also have been surprised about things I’ve accomplished. I have learned that I should never think that I can’t do something because I used to think that I’d never be able to do a double-under or climb a rope…and I can do those things now!! =)
